Roads, Paving, and Drainage improvements
Mayor Jeff Gahan has embarked on a major effort to re-pave our streets so we can all get around without worrying about potholes - and he’s doing it with a balanced budget every year and no new taxes.
In addition to fixing potholes citywide, he has overseen road improvements on : Two-way streets in downtown, Daisy Lane, Mt. Tabor Road, Grant Line Road, State Street Signal Improvements, McDonald Lane, and many more.
He has also invested in new drainage infrastructure to combat flooding in neighborhoods and citywide.
Mayor Jeff Gahan made it a priority to improve our parks system, giving New Albany youth a place to safely play and learn.
The Silver Street Park Complex redeveloped a blighted, industrial site into a family-friendly, indoor facility that kids and adults can use year-round, regardless of weather.
After years without a public pool, Mayor Jeff Gahan opened River Run Family Waterpark, which had over 45,000 guests visit it last year.
